Katrina Donnell spends hours at the beach, but only seconds checking her blood glucose levels, thanks to FreeStyle Flash, one of the world's smallest glucose monitors. During a routine physical a few years ago, she was diagnosed with diabetes. Today, she spends time with her friends and educates others about the disease through her volunteer activities with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
