ZonePerfect and ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Honor Hero
When ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" rolled into Whitehall, a
suburb of Columbus, Ohio, last November, Abbott's ZonePerfect joined M/I Homes and other
Columbus-based businesses to give 9/11 hero Jason Thomas and his family a new
home. Thomas, a former sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, risked
his life on September 11, 2001 to find two New York police officers buried
alive in the rubble of the World Trade Center.
Throughout the week-long build, ZonePerfect provided Chocolate Peanut
Butter and Fudge Graham all-natural nutrition bars – the brand's most popular
flavors – to the "Extreme Makeover" cast and crew, along with the
thousands of volunteers and subcontractors who labored to build the Thomas
family's dream home.
The winner of two Emmys for Outstanding Reality Program, "Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition" stars Ty Pennington, a team of designers,
contractors, and hundreds of volunteers in a race against the clock to build a
home within five days for a deserving family. Headquartered in Columbus, Ohio,
M/I Homes is one of the nation's largest builders.
The two-hour special edition of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition"
aired Sunday, February 11.
