Marc Taub, Ph.D., is Divisional Vice President of Technical Operations for Abbott’s Diabetes Care business. Based in Alameda, California, he leads the Global Research and Development, Medical, Scientific and Clinical Affairs organizations.
Since joining Abbott in 2004, Dr. Taub has been dedicated to developing innovative products that help people with diabetes live healthier lives.
He was one of the driving forces behind the development and innovation of the FreeStyle Libre system, a sensor-based glucose monitoring solution that’s transforming glucose monitoring for people living with diabetes.
He is also leading the development of a first-of-its-kind dual monitoring system designed to enable people with diabetes to continuously monitor glucose and ketone levels from one sensor.
Dr. Taub holds several patents for devices and systems for diabetes monitoring and is a published researcher whose work has appeared in numerous peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Taub is an inducted member of Abbott’s Volwiler Society, which recognizes its most distinguished scientists and engineers.
Dr. Taub holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s and doctorate degrees from Stanford University
