Alex joined Abbott in 2018 as a Sr. Director for Medical, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, within Transfusion Medicine. Alex assumed his current role as DVP Medical, Clinical and Scientific Affairs, Core Diagnostics in 2021.
Prior to joining Abbott, he was the President and Medical Director of Versiti Blood Center, Illinois.
Alex attended University of Michigan for his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and History of Art, Tulane University for his PhD in Infectious Disease and Immunology, and for his Medical Degree.
His Residency training was in Pathology at Harvard Medical School/ Beth Israel Deaconess, and Fellowships in Transfusion Medical and Hematopathology at Harvard Medical School/ Brigham and Women’s Hospital / Mass General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.
