Dr. Chris Davlantes is board-certified, practicing emergency room physician and the Senior Director of Global Medical and Scientific Affairs for Abbott’s Point of Care Diagnostics division. In this role, he and his team serve as vital liaisons between Abbott, healthcare providers and patients with a recent focus on Abbott’s i-STAT Alinity device which can detect brain biomarkers (GFAP & UCH-L1) representing a major advancement in the evaluation and management of traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients.
Prior to his work at Abbott, Dr. Davlantes spent ten years as Medical Director on the Global Clinical & Medical Affairs team at Teleflex Incorporated, providing clinical and medical guidance for the Arrow® Vascular Access and Emergency Medicine portfolios. He completed his medical school training at Indiana University School of Medicine and his Emergency Medicine residency training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine/St. Francis Medical Center.
Dr. Davlantes is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He continues to practice emergency medicine on weekends at a free-standing ED associated with Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
